The legal minimum is $50,000 for one person's injuries, $100,000 for all injuries in one crash, and $50,000 for property damage — written as 50/100/50.

These limits apply to policies written or renewed since July 1, 2025 — up from 30/60/25. Uninsured/underinsured motorist coverage is also required.

If the other driver is at fault and carries only the minimum, their policy stops at those amounts. Uninsured/underinsured motorist coverage is what pays you beyond that.
